The Mayor's Chosen Charities

Ledbury Refugee Support

Ledbury Refugee Support continues to help provide relief to those in need, in particular to refugees, asylum seekers and people forced into exile.

Since the group began in 2015, they have hosted several music nights, cake sales, book sales, Middle Eastern feasts, Big Breakfasts, a film night and two hugely successful auctions. Through those events, Ledbury Refugee Support have been able to fund various causes - large and small.

Throughout the year they organise several gatherings for families and individuals who have been forced to flee their own country and now resettled in this area, to simply join together and enjoy a day out. When possible, Ledbury Refugee Support financial aid to Médicins Sans Frontières (MSF) who supply medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.

Ledbury Refugee Support collects clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, nappies, toiletries and towels. These can be left at Handley Organics, 5 High Street, Ledbury. Please ensure all donations are clean and in good condition.
