Newent & District Inner Wheel Club Donates 2 Bleed Kits to Ledbury

On Wednesday, 18 September the Mayor of Ledbury, Councillor Stephen Chowns had the pleasure of meeting with members of the Newent & District Inner Wheel Club, Phyllis Charter, Anne Keane and Margaret Rippe.

The Inner Wheel was founded in Manchester in 1924. The objects of this service organisation are to promote true friendship, to encourage the ideals of personal service and to foster international understanding.

Newent & District Inner Wheel Club generously donated two Daniel Baird Foundation Bleed Control Kits to Ledbury. The Daniel Baird emergency bleeding control kit is designed to help control and stop severe bleeding. It acts as a haemorrhage control kit and catastrophic bleed kit to ensure those who are first on the scene of an accident, or an injury can treat the blood loss and keep it under control until medical help arrives.

The Mayor would like to express his gratitude to the members of the Newent & District Inner Wheel Club who kindly donated these two bleed kits to Ledbury.
