Co-option

LEDBURY TOWN COUNCIL

GETS THE GREEN LIGHT TO PROCEED WITH CO-OPTION

Unfortunately, once again there were insufficient candidates to fill all the seats at Ledbury Town Council. This has left the Council in the same position as they were in following the 2019 elections, with just 10 Councillors.

However, the Council has received approval from the Elections office at Herefordshire Council to proceed with Co-option to fill the eight remaining vacancies. These vacancies are as follows:

South Ward – Two

North Ward – Two

West Ward – Four

At the Annual Meeting of Council held on 11 May 2011 Members agreed that the vacancies should be advertised as soon as possible inviting anyone interested in being co-opted to Ledbury Town Council to apply.

The Council appreciate that they will not necessarily get enough candidates to fill all eight vacancies at once, and therefore welcome applications over the next few months which will be considered at future Council meetings in accordance with their Co-option Policy, or at an extraordinary meeting of Council, dependent on the number of applications received at any given time.

If you are interested in being co-opted to join Ledbury Town Council and would like more information or an application pack, please contact the Town Clerk, Angie Price, on 015831632306 or via email at clerk@ledburytowncouncl.gov.uk

Press release ends.
