LEDBURY TOWN COUNCIL SEEKS VOLUNTEER FLOOD WARDENS TO HELP PROTECT THE COMMUNITY
Ledbury Town Council is inviting expressions of interest from members of the public to become a Volunteer Flood Warden, helping the town prepare for and respond to flooding events.
Flooding can have a serious impact on our community — affecting homes, businesses, and local infrastructure. Volunteer Flood Wardens play a vital role in keeping residents safe, informed, and prepared during severe weather.
What does a Flood Warden do?
Flood Wardens are community volunteers who:
- Act as local points of contact during flood alerts and warnings.
- Help share information between residents, the Town Council, and emergency services.
- Check on vulnerable neighbours and assist with community preparedness.
- Monitor watercourses and report blockages or concerns.
No prior experience is necessary — full training and support will be provided. This is a rewarding way to make a real difference in your local area, helping to build resilience and protect Ledbury from the risks of flooding.
Local knowledge and community spirit are key to keeping Ledbury safe. We’re looking for residents who care about their town and want to be part of a friendly, proactive team working to reduce the impact of flooding.
