Finance and General Purposes Committee
Ledbury’s Finance and General Purposes Committee comprises twelve Councillors.

Cllrs Phill Bettington, Tony Bradford, Allen Conway, Mary Cooper, Keith Francis, Hillary Jones, Lesley Scott, Peter Watts, Paul Winter, Rob Yeoman.
The Committee meets eight times a year.
As its name suggests, it is responsible for any matters concerning Ledbury’s finances as well as any other matters that do not fall into the remit of either of the other committees.
In terms of financial matters, its responsibilities include: assessing and approving any estimates for work to be undertaken for or on behalf of the Council, making necessary payments, collecting any revenue, investing funds, managing insurance and making direct grants and the grant for the October fair.
Its general responsibilities include:
- the Market House
- the Town Council building
- the town clock
- the Charter Market
- the Council’s ICT
- the Mayor’s and Crier’s regalia
- public transport within the town
- youth achievement.
